10-Minute Walk Program

Hi there, have you heard of the 10-Minute Walk Program? Well, there are actually several of them around. I’ll talk about three that I know of.

See, I know we’re all busy. We’re trying to eat healthy, exercise, read, watch TV, hang out with the family and, of course, work (at home or outside.) How do we fit the gym in? Well, as you know, I’m not a gym person. I simply don’t fit it in. So, if you’re like me, you want to exercise, but don’t like the gym, what do you do? Maybe you decide to workout at home. Maybe you read my posts on walking program, such as here, or here. But you don’t have an hour, or even a half-hour, at a stretch, what to do?

Let me introduce you to the 10-Minute Walk Program. Leslie Sansone, Jessica Smith and the Aussie Gina Buber all have 10-minute walk DVD that you can mix and match.

Leslie Sansone

Leslie Sansone Mini Walk

As you can see from the image, Leslie Sansone has a DVD with ten different mini walks. You can mix and match them. Or you can do one in the morning, one at lunch and one in the evening, then, you’ll have thirty minutes in!

Here’s the lineup: Light Walk; Dance Walk; Brisk & Steady; Tummy Trimmer; Interval Walk; Lower Body Blast, Short & Sweaty; Upper Body Blast; Walk, Kick & Jab; Flexibility Walk

I’ve walked all ten and they’re easy to follow. You wouldn’t get all sweaty if you only do one session at a time. A great way to be more active!

Jessica Smith

Jessica Quick walk

Jessica‘s 10-minute quick walk mix has six different walks with a bonus session of chair stretch. The DVD also comes with two Premix selections.

The walks: Powered Up Walk; Stepping Strength Walk; Happy HIIT Walk; Dance Walk; Abs & Arms Walk; Buns & Thighs Walk. And the bonus chair stretch. A set of light dumbbells are also suggested for the Strength sessions.

The Premix 1 includes the Strength & Stretch sessions (40 minutes total) Premix 2 includes the remaining three sessions totaling 30 minutes and two miles.

I’ve tried all sessions. They’re very convenient and a little more intense than Leslie’s.

Gina Buber

Gina Buber 10 Minute

Well, the last, but not least, is one by the Aussie Gina Buber. Now, I haven’t tried this one yet since I’ve only recently discovered her.

This DVD contains an easy to use menu to play all or choose your favorite walkouts from the following options:
– Warm Up: 5 minutes
– Salsa: 10 minutes
– Flamenco: 10 minutes
– Merengue: 10 minutes
– Cha Cha Cha: 10 minutes
– Cool Down: 5 minutes

I hope to try hers some time in the future. Need to do her other programs a few more times to be more familiar with the steps first. But if you’ve tried it, please let me know. Oh, here’s a sample:
